Social Bowling
Club members social bowl on the afternoons of Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday during the season, there is also a Friday evening session. The season starts on Saturday 21st March and finishes at the beginning of October. For the afternoon sessions, social bowling runs from 2pm to 4pm. Club members arrive by 1.50pm to enable groups to be formed. People are grouped randomly so that club members get to play with different people all of differing standards. The atmosphere is light hearted. Please arrive 10 minutes beforehand.
Friday night social bowling will be based on players having 2 games of pairs, each game scoring up to 12. Players can turn up at any time after 5pm with bowling finishing at about 8.30pm. Players may choose a partner and non-members can play on payment of £3 green fees. Some refreshments are available though players may supplement this with their own.
Members can come and play or practice whenever the green is free. Take a look at the Leagues page to see when matches may be being played. The green is also rented out by the U3A on Fridays between 2pm and 4pm. The green is typically mown first thing Monday and Thursday, so these are also times to avoid.

The table below shows when the green is typically in use for particular activities. This does vary from week to week, in particular, some league matches are played away and therefore do not always take up our green.
